The Chamber of Commerce and Industry turned to Rospotrebnadzor with a proposal to resume congresses in Russia
The Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) proposes to resume holding small and medium-scale congresses in Russia with up to 1000 participants at the second stage of mitigation of restrictive measures introduced because of the coronavirus. It is reported by TASS. The corresponding proposal is contained in a letter from the head of the CCI Sergey Katyrin to the head of Rospotrebnadzor Anna Popova.
In April and May, due to the activity shutdown, most enterprises operating in the congress and exhibition sphere went into negative profitability. In this regard, employees of such organizations have their salaries reduced. At the same time, difficulties arose in repaying loans and fulfilling lease obligations and paying utility bills.
According to Katyrin, exhibition events cannot be attributed to traditional formats of mass events, such as sporting events and concerts, as they have more opportunities to ensure security. Currently, most congress and exhibition complexes already have the necessary conditions for ensuring security; in particular, they have supply and exhaust ventilation.
