The autumn round of events in the Oconnect showroom was wrapped up with a Russia-China E-Commerce summit
On October 5th and 6th a Russia-China E-Commerce summit meeting was held in exhibit hall 3 of Sokolniki Exhibition and Convention Centre which marked the end of the autumn round of exhibition events aimed at promotion of cooperation in the context of Russian-Chinese cross-border trade. The event was organized by OSELL, East-West Digital News and the National Association of Mail Order and Distance Selling Trade.
On October 5th there were reports from the representatives of the Russia-China sector of the cross-border market. They spoke on the present state of the Russia-China market of e-commerce, presenting latest analytical reports and going through the problems and presenting solutions. Moreover, representatives of Russian companies shared their experience in exporting Russian goods to China and covered all the peculiarities of working with Chinese customers. Discussion of operational issues of the cross-border e-commerce turned into an extensive panel session, tackling such issues as payment services, logistics, delivery and fulfillment.
On October 6th two conferences were held concerning the issues of exporting Russian goods to China and importing of Chinese goods to Russia. Alongside with the conferences there was also an exhibition of the Chinese automotive industry producers. The exhibition showcased automotive and motorcycle repair parts and a number of motorcycles. Importers had a chance to talk to the producers and established contacts with potential partners.
Immediately before the summit (September 25th through 27th) the Best Goods from the City of Zhaoqing, China was held. It featured a wide variety of goods: metalware, high-tech electrical appliances, electronics, mobile gadgets, industrial materials, applied arts goods, clothing and accessories, furniture fittings, ceramics and chinaware, musical instruments. The exhibition attracted over 300 purchasing agents and individuals.
The event turned out to be of much interest for both Russian individuals and medium and big business representatives.
