The Oldtimer Gallery is a unique show where everything to do with the sophistication of the past come to life. The exposition showcases hundreds of technical wonders, long-forgotten curious contraptions and amazing designs from the past. It is a true goldmine of the technical culture of the 19th and 20th centuries, a live history of previous times. Many showpieces are for sale: the Oldtimer Gallery’s flea market has long ago gained well-deserved fame among antique connoisseurs.
The Oldtimer Gallery has been held biannually since 2002. Every edition brings a new theme and the showpieces are hardly ever repeated. Every exhibition contains a huge premiere, a sensation and a lot of surprises.
The coming 24th edition of the Oldtimer Gallery is about record rides, legendary cars and the greatest racing drivers of the years 1920-1950. Unique sportcars from the USSR, Europe and the USA will not just be on display, as is usual for exhibitions. Visitors will be allowed into the most sacred place of any racing team: the paddocks. There they will have a chance to watch the cars being warmed up, fuelled, fixed, moved about the grounds and prepared for the highlight moment: the demonstration drives of the oldtimer cars that will take place on the Festivalnaya square of Sokolniki park.
