The time before New Year is the time for inspiration and creativeness! Many people might think: What if I don’t just decorate the New Year tree but create something special? But what? And how? And what with?
You will find the answer to all these questions at the Craft Formula. New Year winter fair that will be held from December 11th to December 13th at Sokolniki Museum and Educational Centre.
The Craft Formula. New Year winter fair is a platform which annually attracts over 200 craftsmen and companies who will help you to make your celebration special!
New Year celebration is all about presents. The best presents are those made with one’s own hands and inspiration, for they are truly unique! Some people believe that handcrafted objects are useless ‘dust collectors’, but this stereotype is way outdated. At the Craft Formula fair you will find comfortable clothes including upper garments, headwear, bags, home textile, educational toys, soap, natural cosmetics and lots of other useful things. Moreover, you will have a chance to buy ingredients and learn to make all those things yourself! Visiting the workshop area that will be working over the three days of the event you will have a chance to try your hand at various kings of handicraft, from traditional to modern ones. Since childhood we have known the saying: "The book is the best gift". At the winter Craft Formula exhibition you will find a wide assortment of books about handicraft. Put one of them under the New Year Tree and give your folks a new hobby, and you’ll have all the New Year holidays to perfect it!
While adults walk about the fair and pick presents kids can have fun at the playground, participate in workshops and leave the fairing good humour and with a handcrafted item. What’s more, there will be an interactive stage performance entitled Visiting Auntie Owl prepared by Anna Shmelyova-Mikhailova and her family studio Old Bumblebee.
The New Year celebration is also about festive spirits. At the winter Craft Formula. New Year fair you will find lots of ideas about how to create a festive atmosphere at home, as well as many things that will help you turn your home into a fairytale, and materials to inspire you! Craft Formula is a place where you can spot an idea, immediately learn how to copy it, and buy all of the necessary materials.
New Year is all about the New Year Tree and the Tree is about decorations. At Craft Formula you will find lots of various decorations and learn to craft them. If you’re looking for new ideas for New Year Tree decorations you should visit the stand of the Craft Formula art atelier from Lyubertsy or take a look at the new issue of the Formula Rukodeliya magazine that will be published just before the event.
New Year is all about food and drinks. Our special project Tasty Handmade will offer unique handcrafted sweets and green products for your New Year’s table. We suggest you to make use of the old tradition of putting sweets on the New Year Tree. Moreover, the Tasty Handmade zone will offer many ideas for New Year table settings.
New Year is all about kindness of heart and compassion. At the Craft Formula. New Year fair you will have a chance to participate in charity activities at the Garden of Good Deeds platform, to buy nice tokens at the fundraising giveaway and to watch performances by young artists.
Come to our New Year fair wearing a costume and win at the Fancy Parade which will be held at the main stage of the Craft Formula fair on December 12th at 5 pm. The 5 winners will receive wonderful gifts from Craft Formula and rapturous applause from the audience. Mind you, this year we welcome on stage children as well as their parents! There will be prizes for the little participants, too.
Of course there will be quizzes, contests and competitions: The Symbol of Year 2016 and The Christmas Boot. Come visit the Craft Formula.
