New year is the most creative season! Even those who haven’t thought of handcrafting for a long time feel like trying something creative. And when you need some ideas, Craft Formula is the place for you! The winter edition of the Craft Formula trade fair will be held in exhibit hall 4 of Sokolniki Museum and Educational Centre on December 12 through 15, 2019. It’s quite easy to get to the venue: you can take a designated free shuttle bus from Sokolniki metro station, or just have a walk and enjoy the festive lights in one of the most beautiful Moscow parks. At Winter Craft Formula, every booth bursts with festive atmosphere. The event’s theme is Winter Wonders, and each participant has prepared a lot of beautiful and interesting things, ideas and designs to delight you. You will have a unique opportunity to buy original gifts for loved ones and friends, clothes, fashion accessories, authentic jewelry and Christmas decorations for the upcoming holidays. And those who like handcrafting, will find the rarest and most beautiful New Year-themed materials for creative hobbies and crafts. Every fair booth will offer friendly and festive atmosphere, detailed advice and loads of fresh ideas for your New Year decorations.
Every winter edition of Craft Formula gathers over 350 companies, shops, art studios, e-stores, individual designers and crafters, publishing houses, and training centers, and attracts more than 15,000 attendees from Moscow, Moscow Region, and all across Russia. And it is little wonder, since 200+ Russian and international brands come to display their products at Craft Formula. Visitors, too, enjoy all the latest things in the hobby world: embroidery kits, yarn, decoration sets, products for decoupage, quilting, felting, scrapbooking, doll making, soap making, food design and other equally fascinating kinds of handcraft, as well as creativity sets for kids, and the best books on various kinds of crafts.
You’ll know it’s not enough to just buy craft materials, you need to learn working with them. And you can do that at the creative area of the Craft Formula Club. Over 200 workshops on various arts and crafts for both adults and kids will be held there. You will learn to create a holiday fantasy with your own hands and fill your home with beauty and festive spirits. There will also be craftsmen there ready to share their knacks and secrets and help you try your hand at something new.
You will have a chance to get in touch with the editors of the Formula Rukodeliya magazine and take part in a Christmas prize draw with prizes provided by exhibitors. And Saturday will bring a festive carnival for kids and adults. Everyone who loves to dress up will gather at the main stage to sing, dance and read poetry. That’s right - adults, too!
People tend to bring whole families to Craft Formula, so there will be family workshops provided by the Chistioye Nebo charity foundation. As part of the Garden of Good Deeds project, they will be collecting gifts for orphaned children. There is also a prizes-for-all charity lottery with small memorable gifts.
The New Year is the best holiday not only in terms of decorations but also in cuisine! The Tasty Handmade project is not just a food court where you can expand your culinary horizons, but also a number of booths where you can taste and buy chocolate, original and herbal tea, lavender meringue, spice cakes, natural honey, unique sweets and organic food for your New Year table! There are also kitchen accessories such as cookie cutters of unusual shapes, baking forms, embossing rolling pins, and much more!
The traditional New Year contest will feature an exposition of original funny mice, for the thrifty Mouse is the symbol of 2020. There will be knitted, embroidered, sculpted mice... and visitors will vote for the best work.
