Since 2006, the Sokolniki Cultural and Exhibition Center has been implementing the “Be Grateful - Serve the Society” program, aimed at developing civic qualities and shaping the social and cultural activity of young people.
The purpose of the program is to train young leaders for the future of Russia, people with a high sense of patriotism, social responsibility, sacrifice, who value work, history and culture of Russia within the framework of business projects and social projects implemented by Sokolniki Museum and Educational Centre.

Our Victory
The goal of the project is to make veterans of the Great Patriotic War feel taken care of. On Victory Day, Sokolniki Exhibition Center expresses gratitude to everyone who went through the trials of war, showing genuine heroism, the highest fortitude, courage and stamina.
Installation of a memorial sign to Sergei Mikhailovich Tretyakov
On April 24, 2019, at the initiative of Alexei Shaburov, supported by the Moscow City Government, the Department of Culture of Moscow, a memorial sign was erected in the central avenue, not far from the main entrance to Sokolniki Park, in honor of the prominent Russian entrepreneur, collector and philanthropist, Moscow mayor in 1877 -1881 years, Sergei Mikhailovich Tretyakov. It was he, being the mayor, who achieved the accession to Moscow of the territory of modern Sokolniki. To create a park, the city had to buy groves Sokolnichaya and Olenya belonging to the Ministry of State Property of the Russian Empire.
Planting a tree of Russian-Chinese friendship in Sokolniki Park
On July 25, 2019, at the initiative of Sokolniki Museum and Educational Centre, with the support of the Moscow Culture Department, Mosgorpark Directorate, Sokolniki State Autonomous Institution of Culture in the Sokolniki Museum and Educational Centre, near pavilion 7a, a memorial tree planting ceremony was held by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China to RF, holder of the Order of Friendship Mr. Li Hui.
The event was held in the year of the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Russia and China as a special thanks to Mr. Li Hui for his great contribution to the development of friendly relations and the strengthening of cultural ties between the Russian Federation and the People's Republic of China.
Exhibition “Private Museums of Russia. Talents of Russia"
Exhibition “Private Museums of Russia. Talents of Russia” is a grandiose cultural project organized by the Association of Private Museums of Russia with the funds of Sokolniki Museum and Educational Centre.
The first exhibition “Private Museums of Russia. Talents of Russia” was held on September 7-8, 2019 with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and the Committee for Culture of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, the Union of Museums of Russia.
The exhibition was designed to show the diversity of the folk culture of Russia and its regions, to familiarize it with traditions and discover new knowledge about the history, geography and culture of our vast country.
For the first time, expositions of over 100 private museums from all over Russia, from Kamchatka to Kaliningrad, were collected at one site. More than 16,000 exhibits were presented to Muscovites and guests of the capital. In two days, the exhibition was visited by 30,000 people.
