Those who like original and unique things were attracted by a calligraphy workshop.

“For us the word “calligraphy” sounds somewhat archaic, we barely use it, but in Europe and North America the practice of calligraphy is still popular,” explains project manager Darya Belago.”

“For example, the diplomas given out to university graduates are always handwritten by a calligrapher, so that the graduates have a small masterpiece rather than a readymade piece of paper.”

“Participants of our workshop will try their hand at a special script, learn about calligraphy techniques, about such scripts as the Russian uncial and semi-uncial. The uncial script was invented in Greece and spread widely, changing into many variants. Several years ago it got a new life in the titles of The Lord of the Rings movie, again becoming popular. Handwritten script is a feature that will make a greeting card or any other gift special and unique.”
