XIV World Dance Olympiad – the largest global international dance project – will be held between April 28 and May 9. The event is a unique forum that gathers representatives of various dance and art schools, cultures, ages and interests at a single location, and all of them yet so diverse live and breathe the passion to create, progress and be the best for their country! They look for new socialization and experience emotions of a lifetime in return, give the best of them to the audience and end up awarded with loud applause! The Olympiad means people with a spark in their heart who become a family to each other in these 13 days! And they are happy to see you a part of their world on the Olympiad in Moscow Sokolniki!
The event will feature the following: Russian Open Cup of Contemporary Dance Disciplines (50 disciplines), VIX Eastern European Cheer Sport and Cheerleading Championship, World Championships, IDO World Cups, International Sport Majorette Gran Prix, The Perfection annual national award, Competitive Arts Olympics, live and fashion shows, round tables, workshops, national and regional Russian parades and performances as well as The Waltz of Victory XXIV Cup of CSKA international rating ballroom dancing competitions. For the first time ever a unique contest dubbed MISS ARTISTIC SPORT RUSSIA will be held.
The OLYMPIAD is held by the following organizations:
- Russian representative of the World Art and Dance Alliance (WADA);
- DANCE ACCORD Union of Dance and Acrobatic Sports;
- Russian Dance Organization;
- The Union of Cheer Sport and Cheerleading in Russia;
- Russian Federation of Sport Choreography;
- Russian Lady Style Dance Federation
The event is held under the auspices of the following international organizations:
- IDO (International Dance Organization);
- WDSF (World Dance Sport Federation);
- ICU (International Cheer Union);
- ECU (European Cheer Union);
- IRSF (International Rope Skipping Federation);
- IFMS (International Federation of Majorette Sport);
- NBTA (National Baton Twirling Association)
