About:
Over the last weekend of the summer Sokolniki Park will become the venue for one of the most spectacular cultural and educational events in Moscow the: Russia Ahorse festival.
The festival will commemorate the memorable dates of the Days of War Glory of Russia: Victory of the Soviet Army in the Battle of Kursk in 1943 and the Battle of Borodino of 1812.
Russia Ahorse is a large-scale city festival for citizens of Moscow and the region of Moscow and those visiting the Russian capital.

The aims of the festival:
To promote within the youth the feeling of patriotism and an active civic position;
To promote and develop equestrian sports;
To preserve Russia’s cultural and spiritual heritage;
To develop cultural programmes with an active participation of the youth.
The festival will present a spectacular equestrian programme that features:
A Cossack vaulting show with elements of acrobatics performed by the special regiment of the mounted police of the Central Internal Affairs Directorate of Moscow;
The “Russian Legend” Festival of the Orlov Trotter organized by the Russian Trotter Horsebreeding Community NPO;
The “Great Patriotic War” equestrian show by Y.Shannikova’s art group;
The “Coursing” and “The Route of Trust” pony fun tournaments for kids organized by the Verona equestrian club;
The “Borodino” historical equestrian programme by the “Hussar” cavalry school.
