From November 3 through 5, 2017, Sokolniki Museum and Educational Centre will host “Eat Fish!”, an industry-specific, specialized festival. The event is organized by Moskau Messe exhibition company, Sokolniki Museum and Educational Centre, State Autonomous Cultural Institution Sokolniki Park, and Moscow Department of Trade and Services.
The festival is held with the aid of the Ministry for Economic Development, the Federal Fishing Agency, the Moscow Government, and Fishing Committee of the State Duma.
Festival objectives:
- Enable prompt launch, promotion, and demonstration of fish products in Moscow and regional market.
- Provide opportunities for a direct dialogue between fish processers, suppliers, and customers.
- Establish a platform to exchange experience and discuss actual issues regarding the promotion of local fish products in the domestic market.
- Present innovations, tastings and sale of fish, specialties and fish products.
The festival will include the following topical sections:
- Specialized exhibition of fish and fish products.
- Gastronomic festival and fish fair
- Specialized exhibition of fish processing equipment and technologies.
“Eat Fish!” festival is meant to become a milestone professional event in the fish industry. Primarily it aims to help producers source partners, customers, and distributors among wholesale companies , retailers, restaurants, coffee shops and public catering companies in Moscow, Moscow region, and Central Federal District.
Festival agenda:
- gastronomic workshops by leading chefs
- tastings of fish dishes and specialties
- talks and seminars on fish procurement, new and interesting fish recipes
- fish cooking championship.
The festival partners are:
Association of Fish Processers and Producers, the Fish Union NGO.
